Transliteration: translations in another script in the correct layout

If the target language* uses a script or alphabet other than the Latin alphabet (e.g. Chinese, Greek, Russian or Arabic) or isn’t written from left to right, it is important to ensure that the layout of the new document is correct too. After all, it would be a disaster if a technical manual contained strange errors because the layout was faulty.

That’s why Het Vertaalhuis supplies the translation and the layout: the transliteration. To ensure that it is done correctly, we use internationally recognised transliteration systems and keyboards for Cyrillic characters for (Slavic) languages, for instance.
